Different therapeutic models have different strengths and weaknesses. In clinical practice, adopting an integrative view of different approaches is of crucial importance for effective psychological treatment. Nowadays, psychologists of different orientations use psychological reprocessing and integration techniques not only in individual therapy, but also as a way of intervening at a systemic level.
Psychological reprocessing and integration therapies and techniques have gained great importance in recent decades as they represent a fast and effective way to use the brain’s information processing system in the service of psychotherapy, trauma treatment and personal development.

The use of these techniques enhances the inherent resources of each person to seek and find adaptive solutions and unblock emotional knots, since they seem to favor the connection of the subcortical areas with the neocortex (vertical processing) and the interhemispheric connection (horizontal processing). For this, it is essential to understand the problem and a good conceptualization of the case in order for the intervention to be effective.
If we consider TRIP as an integrative concept, we could include therapies and techniques such as EMDR, hypnosis, Brainspotting, one eye at a time, EMI, etc. under this heading. Almost everyone has heard of them, but there is no clear understanding of their similarities and differences.
In this course, participants will get an overview of how some of these techniques work in combination rather than separately, as well as the basic theoretical underpinnings and the logic and procedures for their application.
In this course, we will try to clarify what TRIPs are, to know their similarities and differences and their effectiveness in psychotherapy, to analyze the theoretical models and assumptions on which TRIPs are based and their application in therapy, to acquire essential bases on attachment and trauma for the work in psychotherapy, to learn how to structure a psychological treatment and conceptualize a case from the use of TRIPs, to experience TRIPs from the role of the patient and the therapist and to recognize personal resistances and blocks in order to manage them.
