Psychosomatic is defined as a psychological disorder that generates a physical effect, causing some consequence in the organism.
It can be said, therefore, that a psychosomatic condition originates in the psyche and then manifests itself in the body.
In this course we aim to teach the evaluation and psychotherapeutic approach to psychosomatic illnesses.
In short, the aim is to describe the mechanisms underlying the process of psychosomatic illness, to approach the physiology and functioning of the different physiological systems involved in psychosomatic illnesses, to describe the symptomatology and conflictology underlying psychosomatic illnesses and to see the specificities of psychotherapy with psychosomatic patients.

At the end of the course, you will be able to apply for three Certificates and/or Diplomas, accredited by the European University Miguel de Cervantes (UEMC), Promerits and the Spanish Association for the Promotion and Development of Psychotherapy (AEFDP).
It is100% Online Training. Students will have at their disposal the virtual campus of the UEMC (European University Miguel de Cervantes), where they will find all the study material necessary to pass the course.
A total 12 classes and 4 additional workshops will be broadcast live via videoconference, the recording of which will be available for viewing at the time chosen by the student.
THE PSYCHOSOMATIC PROCESS:
The path to the subject. Development of the baby. Historical sketch: The Chicago school. The Paris school. Different currents in relation to the psychosomatic fact. Primitive psychosomatic expressions. Mesmerism. Atopic dermatitis. The asthma. The allergic relationship.
PSYCHOBIOLOGY OF STRESS:
Emotion, repression and displacement. Psychobiology of stress. Biological foundations of emotion. Process of getting sick. Passage from conflict to organic lesion. The clinical interview in psychosomatics. Evaluation and diagnosis.
Physiology and function of the immune system. Conflictology of the immune system. Description of the main psychosomatic diseases of this apparatus, evaluation and treatment: autoimmune diseases, lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels.
DISEASES OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM:
Physiology and functioning of the digestive system. Conflictology of the digestive system. The digestive system: second brain. Microbiota and its impact on emotions. Description of the main psychosomatic diseases associated with this apparatus, evaluation and treatment: concerning the mouth, stomach, intestine, pancreas, liver, etc.
Physiology and function of the cardiovascular system. Conflictology of the cardiovascular system. Type A behavioral pattern. Description of the main psychosomatic diseases of this apparatus, evaluation and treatment: myocardial infarction, heart rhythm disturbances, valve insufficiency, pericardium, endocardium and various diseases (vasovagal syncope, hermorhagia, Raynaud’s syndrome, etc.).
Physiology and functioning of the endocrine system. Description and functioning of the main glands: pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal. Conflictology of the endocrine system: description of the main psychosomatic diseases associated with this system, evaluation and treatment.
For the evaluation in the online modality, the student will have to visualize the classes previously recorded in our virtual platform and complete in each module a questionnaire with development and test type questions, which will be supervised by the assigned tutor
Graduates in Psychology and/or Medicine and students in the last years of their Psychology Degree.
The demand for training in the treatment of personality disorders has been very wide due to the great lack of knowledge that we find regarding this type of disorders. In this course we propose to teach attendees a model of psychotherapeutic treatment of personality disorders from the humanistic psychodynamic, third generation cognitive-behavioral, systemic and family approaches.
It is necessary to have taken or to take simultaneously the course of Expert in personality disorders in its face-to-face or online modalities in order to be able to take this course.
