The University Specialisation Course in Psychopharmacology provides advanced knowledge on the neurobiological and neurochemical mechanisms of psychoactive substances and their application in the treatment of psychopathological disorders, integrating the latest scientific advances in Neuroscience. It addresses the cultural and social impact of the use and abuse of psychotropic drugs, as well as related policies and regulations. It is designed to comprehensively train Psychology students and Psychologists, enabling them to suggest treatments and understand the side effects of drugs, providing deep knowledge to improve their clinical practice and collaborate with other health professionals. This is a 300-hour, 100% ONLINE course, equivalent to 12 ECTS, offering essential and necessary clinical knowledge for professional clinical practice.

Academic Programme
The academic programme of the University Specialisation Course in Psychopharmacology is structured into nine modules covering from basic principles to specific applications in various disorders.
The course begins with the fundamentals of Psychopharmacology, followed by a detailed study of neurochemical systems and neurotransmission. Alterations in these systems, their functional effects, and their relationship with psychopathology will be addressed. Subsequently, psychoactive substances with therapeutic properties and their use in the treatment of psychotic disorders and schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, and addiction and impulsive-compulsive disorders will be explored.
Students will have access to a University Specialisation Course taught by professionals of recognised prestige in the field of Psychology with extensive experience in online training. This programme is aimed at professionals in Psychology and health, Psychiatry, as well as anyone currently studying for a degree in Psychology. - Director of the Interdisciplinary Clinical and Research Institute in Neurosciences (ICIIN), covering clinical activity across all age ranges and a wide spectrum of methodologies such as neuropsychology, cognitive stimulation, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and other psychological therapies.
- Psychologist at Promiva Foundation and Virgen de Lourdes School (Majadahonda, Madrid), performing diagnostic and intervention tasks in intellectual disability.

- Author of numerous articles in specialised impact journals and book chapters, as well as author of monographic works and coordinator of collective works. He has participated in numerous national and international congresses, presenting his own research (from communications to invited plenary lectures), and has coordinated thematic sessions and invited symposia, served on organising committees, and as a member and president of scientific committees.
