Objectives of this Official University Master's Degree

Culture of Prevention

To train students in the importance of promoting a culture of prevention that guarantees the well-being and health protection of workers in the workplace.

Professional Functions

To acquire the knowledge and competences that enable the performance of the professional functions that correspond to the Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, regulated in Annex VI of RD 39/1997, which approves the Regulation of Prevention Services.

Expert Preventionists

To train students as expert preventionists in the specialties of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.

Fundamentals and Techniques

Acquire the fundamentals of occupational risk prevention. Identify and interpret the techniques to improve working conditions.

Legal Scope

To analyze the legal perspective of Occupational Risk Prevention, as well as the specific regulations on Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology.

Risks

To know the most relevant occupational and hygienic risks in the work environment, as well as the most appropriate general safety techniques for their prevention.

Specific Techniques

Manage the implementation of all specific techniques for the prevention of occupational safety risks at work, industrial hygiene or ergonomics and applied psychosociology.

Ergonomic and Psychosocial Risks

To study the ergonomic challenges at work, as well as the general techniques for their detection, evaluation and correction. To know the psychosocial risks at work as well as the general techniques for their control.

Management and Audit

Analyze the main management and auditing systems of Occupational Risk Prevention.

Main Techniques

To know the main techniques of training, communication, information and negotiation in Occupational Risk Prevention.

Occupational Health

To know the principles of occupational health and the general applications of occupational medicine.
